Transform your digital piano or synthesizer into an arranger keyboard with real-time auto-accompaniment capabilities. Alternatively, unleash your creativity while on the go by utilizing your iOS device as a standalone real-time arranger.

Simply connect your iPad, iPhone, or iPod to your keyboard instrument using the camera connection kit and either a USB AB cable or MIDI interface cable (depending on your keyboard's MIDI requirements). Launch One Man Band and access the Settings button. Configure the MIDI In and MIDI Out ports to correspond with your keyboard and hit Done. Proceed to the red Presets button, where you can select from a variety of style/voice pairings.

Triggering a chord on the left side of your keyboard instrument will initiate the accompaniment, freeing up the right side for playing melodies enriched with harmonies and layered instruments based on your selected voice. Transition seamlessly between Main, Fill, Intro, and Ending style variations as you play, and easily switch accompaniment styles and melody voices using the buttons at the top. Enable the Record feature to capture your compositions as MIDI files.

In situations where you lack a keyboard instrument or are unable to establish a connection at the moment, you have the option to leverage your iPad/iPhone/iPod as a standalone accompaniment tool. Head to Settings/Ports/MidiOut to access the soundfont player and utilize the virtual keyboard for playing chords and melodies.

One Man Band supports standard style files that are compatible with the styles utilized in Yamaha PSR, DGX, and Tyros arranger keyboards, offering access to a vast library of styles online. Uploading a zip file containing styles to OMB (e.g., via download, email, or iCloud) will automatically place these styles in a new folder named after the zip file.

The customizable panel featuring 56 buttons allows you to assign various functions, voices, presets, chords, or notes to each button (except for the top-left button), even enabling you to create submenus with an additional 56 buttons per submenu. Dive into voice customization by crafting your own harmonies and layered instrumentations.
